Goa is undoubtedly one of the best locations in India which many travellers want to visit and create memories of. The government of India provides an easy solution For such visitors who have the necessary qualifications, can apply for an E-Tourist visa or an E-visa through Indian Visa online portals.
The government of India has launched E- tourist visa enabled by ETA which is based on the Mission Mode Project – IVFRT which helps in better supporting foreign travellers while strengthening security. It is the most hassle-free method to acquire a visa as it requires you to fill out an online form and pay the necessary fees of US $60/- per passenger excluding interchange charges for credit/debit cards.
The E-tourist visa fee once submitted is non-refundable and it is valid for 30 days once you arrive at Goa. E-Tourist Visa allows a traveller to visit Goa a maximum of two times in a calendar year. Once it is issued, it is non-extendable, non-convertible & not valid for visiting Protected/Restricted and Cantonment Areas.
Travellers having passports from Pakistan and Bangladesh or having their origin set in Pakistan and Bangladesh should opt for the normal way of acquiring a visa.
E-Visa
All foreign nationals who are eligible can fill up the form for an E-visa which is linked with the passport of the visitor. Everyone including minors is supposed to get an E-visa which will be delivered in your Email once you have made the payment of US $60 from your Debit/Credit card and has been approved by the Indian Visa Application Center (IVAC). Travellers must ensure that they fill out this form at least 4 days before arriving in India so that they don’t face any problems.
Regular tourist application
Visitors who are not eligible for E-visas can fill out an online form and then submit it to the nearest Visa Application Center with the printout of the form. Once you complete the payment through cash you need to wait for 4-5 working days to receive your visa.
