E-visa is the system that helps the visitors to evade long-term and tiring bureaucratic processes and also help the host country’s embassy. People who meet the conditions to apply for an E-visa can do so through their travel documents. However, this system is not yet implemented for work and student visas. Applying for regular visas can be a real hassle for people as well as the national embassies. Many nations have successfully implemented the scheme of E-visa that allows a traveller to enter the host country for holidays, business trips, or many other purposes.
Differences between an E-visa and other types of visa:
The E-visa is the most hassle-free document to be applied for since all the details to be filled are present online. It usually takes around 10 minutes to fill out all the details, such as your personal information, passport number, travel information, and copy of your passport, and then simply pay through a Debit/Credit card. Then the E-visa will arrive in your E-mail ID.
ETA V/s E-visa
The process of E-visa is similar to that of an ETA, however, ETA is an Electronically Travel Authorization which is often offered to visitors from visa exempt countries and an E-visa is a linked document to the passport of the visitor.
Visa on Arrival V/s E-visa
An E-visa is a linked document to a visitor’s passport and so this means that the visitor already has all the necessary documents and hence skips the risk of waiting in long queues or getting their access denied after arriving at the host country. Whereas a Visa on Arrival is a document that you procure after arriving at the airport of the host country. A Visa on Arrival may or may not be free.
Regular visa V/s E-visa
E-visa is a very simplified process that takes around 10 minutes to be filled out whereas procuring a regular visa can be a hassle because you will have to visit the embassy of the host country and even have to go through the process of an interview. Acquiring paper visas takes longer than an E-visa.
Once you get an E-visa you can enter the host country without any issues.
