Documents Required for Bosnia Visa

  • All applicants are required to provide the following items before they can schedule an interview at the Embassy:
  • passport that has at least three months remaining on its validity date after the visa expires and a completed Visa Application Form.
  • a single photograph, passport size
  • The necessary documents include a letter of invitation from the host, a confirmed hotel reservation with a full prepayment, a bank statement from the past three months, proof of sufficient funds, proof of enough medical insurance, and round-trip airline tickets.

  • An application for a "C Visa" must be submitted anywhere from three days to one month before the applicant's
  • intended departure date.
  • A "D" visa application must be submitted at least one month and no more than three months before the applicant's planned departure date.
  • Visitors from countries with which Bosnia and Herzegovina has a visa regime are exempt from this requirement for entry, exit, transit, and stays of up to 30 days if they also possess a valid multiple-entry visa or residence permit issued by a Schengen Agreement signatory nation, an EU member state, or the United States.
  • With a valid Visa C, you can enter and leave the country many times within a short period of time. In the first six months after arrival, a visitor is only allowed a maximum of ninety days. In extraordinary circumstances, a Visa C can be extended for an additional year. Business, education, training, tourism, private enterprises, politics, science, sport, and other objectives can qualify for a visa category C.
