You have to hold at least 5 to 6 passport-size photographs of yourself or sometimes less than that on the front side which can be seen clearly for the verification of the photograph.
As far as kids are concerned (0 to 13 years), a photocopy of a birth certificate is required along with the above-mentioned documents.
