Eligibility For Cape Verde visa

  • When applying for a visa to Cape Verde, you must be able to meet certain criteria in order to be eligible. In order to be eligible, you must have a valid passport, a return ticket, proof of sufficient funds, and a letter of invitation from a Cape Verdean sponsor or hotel.
  • Citizens of the following countries are eligible to enter Cape Verde without a visa: Benin, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Chad, Congo (Brazzaville), Congo (Kinshasa), Cote d'Ivoire, Djibouti, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, Gambia, Guinea-Bissau, Liberia, Mali, Mauritania, Niger, Nigeria, Sao Tome and Principe, Senegal and Togo.
  • Citizens of all other countries are required to obtain a visa before travelling to Cape Verde. Depending on the purpose of your visit and the length of your stay, different types of visas are available. Tourist visas are issued for those who plan to stay for less than 90 days. Those wanting to stay for more than 90 days must apply for a longer visa.
  • When applying for a visa, it is important to provide proof of sufficient funds for the duration of your stay, as well as proof of accommodation in Cape Verde. Additionally, some countries require that travellers present their vaccination records upon entry.
