Dubai Work Visa

An employment visa will protect your ability to work in Dubai. The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratization is responsible for issuing this visa. This visa allows you to enter the country and remain there for two months before it expires, and you must renew it or risk being removed from the country.

Eligibility criteria for Dubai work visa

In order to obtain a work permit, you and your company will need to satisfy a number of criteria. Some of them are as follows:

  • You need to be over the age of 18.
  • To legally employ you, your company must have a valid business licence.
  • Your company must be above board and have done nothing illegal.
  • The tasks you perform should fit in with the companys overall mission.
  • In addition, there are three broad categories into which foreign workers fall according to their skills and experience:
    • Group 1: candidates hold a Bachelors Degree or higher.
    • Group 2: those who have earned a college degree in any discipline.
    • Group 3: college graduates and above

Documents required for Work Visa for Dubai

  • Your original and a copy of your passport.
  • One colour photograph, roughly the size required by the passport.
  • It is necessary to have your credentials approved by both the UAE Embassy or Consulate in your country and your countrys Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
  • A health clearance issued by a UAE medical facility recognized by the federal government.
  • Evidence that your prospective employer is legitimate, such as a business card or licence.
  • On average, you can expect to wait around 5 business days for the government to approve your application for a work permit.
  • A work permit can only be obtained after the Labor Card and the Residence Visa have been submitted and approved.
