Estonia Student Visa

If you intend to study in Estonia and are not a citizen of the EU, EEA, or Switzerland, you must apply for a student visa. Once you have been admitted to a university or other educational institution in Estonia, you can only apply for a student visa. Students from the EU, EEA, or Switzerland simply need to register their address with the local government authority and apply for an ID card within the first month of their study abroad programme in Estonia.

Documents required for Estonia student visa are given below

  • Genuine passport: At least three months must pass after the return date for your passport to remain valid. Please make sure your passport is in good shape and provide a copy of any prior visas you may have had.
  • 2 photographs the size of a passport:The images had to be from the previous six months. They must be coloured and photographed against a white background.
  • A request form: The Estonian application form must be completed online, printed, and signed at the end. Don't forget to fill in all the blanks.
  • Payment of fees: An Estonian visa for academic reasons costs €100 to get. When you present the documents at the embassy or consulate, you can pay with cash or a credit card. After you have paid the Estonia student visa fees you have to attach the receipt with your visa application form.
  • An official letter of admission from the college: Please provide documentation proving your acceptance to a university in Estonia.
  • Bank records. a copy of your most recent six-month bank statement as proof of ownership. This document must attest to your ability to support yourself financially in Estonia.
  • Evidence of accommodation : This document must attest to the fact that you have lodging while visiting Estonia. This document, for instance, could be a:
  • Letter from the Estonian university confirming that you will be given housing for students.
  • Request letter: This certificate, which demonstrates that a member of your family in Estonia can sponsor you and pay for your stay there, may be issued by that person.
  • Booking a hotel.
  • Contract for rent.

  • You must fulfil the following requirements in order to be qualified to enter the nation on a visa.
  • Be a sincere traveller. You must have a reason to visit the country that is both legitimate and honourable.
  • You must have the financial resources to support yourself and any dependents during the entire stay in order to be eligible to shoulder all costs.
  • Strong ties to your native country must exist for you to have good reasons to return there following your visit.
  • Be of good character - You must be of good character and have no history of criminal activity. For the same, you might need to present a PCC (Police Clearance Certificate)
  • Being in good health means that you must at least satisfy the authorities' minimum standards for health.
