If you are travelling to Ghana for tourism, business or humanitarian reasons, it is necessary to obtain a visa in advance. The visa process can be lengthy and cumbersome, so be sure to apply well in advance. You should allow at least 7 days before your planned travel date to apply for a visa.

The Ghana visa is a single entry visa that can be used for travel to Ghana only. It is only applicable for one entry.

If you have received a visa in the mail, it is not necessary to print it out. You can simply look at it and keep it with you while in Ghana. If you lose the visa or if it gets damaged, you can contact the embassy or consulate to get another one.
