As a tourist, you will not need a visa to travel to The Netherlands. However, you must apply for a visa in advance if you are a business traveler. If you are traveling as part of an organized group, your tour operator should be able to help you with this process.

You must submit an online application form and pay the required visa fees to apply for a Netherlands visa. The Dutch Immigration Service (IND) will review your application and decide if you can travel to the Netherlands. If your application is approved, IND will send you a visa invitation letter that you must print out and bring with you when traveling to the Netherlands.

The Netherlands visa requirements are not too complicated and mostly depend on your nationality. Specific visa requirements for citizens of some countries may vary, so it is best to check with the Dutch embassy or consulate in your home country before your trip.

You will need a passport with at least six months remaining validity and two blank pages. The Dutch Immigration Service (IND) will also require you to submit a photocopy of your passport’s front page and your visa application form. You must also bring your airline ticket, hotel reservation confirmation, and proof of financial support (if applicable). If you are coming to the Netherlands as part of a group, each group member must also bring their visa application form and photocopy their passport’s front page.

If you are using a tourist card or advance parole, you do not need a visa if you arrive in the Netherlands on or before April 15th of the year following the year you apply. If you are not using a tourist card or advance parole, you must apply for a visa at an embassy or consulate prior to traveling to the Netherlands.

The Netherlands visa is valid for three months.

Anyone who is a citizen of one of the countries in the European Union or Schengen Area can apply for a Netherlands visa. You don't need an invitation from a Dutch resident or business person. You must also meet certain requirements, such as having sufficient funds and being able to support yourself during your stay.

If you wish to travel to the Netherlands, you must apply for a visa at least 3 days before your intended arrival. There is no need to get a printout of the visa you received in your mail. You need to carry a scan of this document with you when traveling to the Netherlands. The Dutch government does not require you to bring the original visa with you as long as the scan is shown to the immigration official upon arrival in The Netherlands.
