The Palestinian Authority (PA) is seeking to upgrade its visa waiver program to the Standardised Program for Travel Authorization (SPTA). Still, it has yet to comply with some eligibility criteria.
The PA has met only some of the requirements, such as issuing passports to all citizens, while still failing to meet others, such as having a valid travel document that meets minimum security standards.
The US does not require a visa for Palestinians traveling to Europe or North America, but the PA must meet all other SPTA requirements before being approved.
