Vienna, the capital of Austria, issued visas only to persons with valid visas from one of the Schengen Area member states. If you are not a citizen of one of the Schengen Area members, you will need a visa from an adjacent country to visit Vienna.
A visa is not required for visits up to 90 days in 180 days. For visits exceeding 90 days, a visa must be obtained before travel. Visa requirements for U.S. citizens traveling to Poland change frequently and depend on your nationality and destination. Contact the U.S. Embassy or Consulate in your home country for more information on Polish visa requirements, as they may change at any time without notice.
If you are visiting Poland for business purposes and have invitations from Polish companies or organizations, you can obtain a visitor's permit instead of a visa. A visitor's permit allows you to stay in Poland for no more than 90 days and permits daily movements within cities and reasonable travel outside during daytime hours. You are also responsible for arranging transportation into and out of the country.
