Romania Work Visa

Foreign nationals travelling to Romania to accept paid employment with a Romanian company are granted a Romania work visa, commonly known as a Romanian Employment Visa (D/AM). You need a work permit from the Romanian Inspectorate General for Immigration in order to obtain a work visa. Your employer in Romania will submit the application on your behalf.

You need the following in order to apply for a work visa for Romania:

  • Work Permit received from your employer and presented to the Romanian Inspectorate General for Immigration.
  • The Romanian work visa must be applied for at a Romanian diplomatic mission or consulate within 60 days of receiving work permission.
  • documents pertaining to your job status.
  • Police clearance certificate from your country of residence.
  • Until the end of the time when your visa is valid, purchase travel health insurance.
  • Evidence of lodging in Romania
  • Proof of adequate financial resources demonstrating that you will be paid at least the required minimum gross wage for the term of your work visa.
  • A form for applying for a visa to Romania, which is available for download on the ministry's website. The application must be typed in letter format and signed.
  • Two current photos that meet the requirements for Romanian visa photos.
  • 3cm x 4cm, with your face occupying between 70% and 80% of the image
  • on a white background, taken
  • A passport or other travel document that is valid and accepted by Romania:
  • is still valid for at least three more months after the expiration of your visa.
  • was released in the ten years prior
  • has a minimum of two blank pages on which the visa can be attached by Romanian consular personnel.

Eligibility- Work Visa Romania

You need to fit into one of the following categories in order to be eligible for a Romania work visa

  • You'll work in a Romanian institution that has been granted accreditation to perform research, study, or any other kind of specialised activity.
  • You are an expert worker.
  • You will participate in a bilateral agreement at work.
  • You will follow the Minister of National Education's instructions when working.
  • Your work will be artistic in nature and will be carried out in accordance with the minister of culture's instructions.
  • Due to a pact between Romania and your nation, you have access to the labour market there.
  • You will work for a ministry or other central public or local government entity.
  • You'll be in charge of a corporation with an overseas headquarters' Romanian branch office or subsidiary office.
