Schengen Transit Visa

The Schengen Area Member States created the Transit Schengen Visa specifically to make it easier for non-EU/EEA people to travel when they must arrive at a Schengen Area airport in order to board a flight to a non-Schengen destination country. The document's possessor is allowed to transit through a Schengen nation to reach a non- Schengen destination nation without leaving the airport's transit area. However, rather than applying for a Transit Schengen visa, visitors who need to land in more than one airport within the Schengen area should do so instead.
