Switzerland Visa Price

Switzerland has a visa-free entry policy for citizens of most countries, including the United States. The Swiss Federal Council recently announced that it would require electronic travel authorization (eTA) from visitors from 10 countries starting on January 1, 2020. To be eligible for an eTA, travelers must have a valid passport and a confirmed onward ticket. The eTA is free and can be obtained through the Swiss Travel Portal.
Once you have your eTA, read the instructions carefully because some requirements, such as having a valid return air ticket, may be different than those required for a tourist visa. You can also find more information on the website of the Swiss Federal Council (in German).
If you're traveling to Switzerland with children under 18 years old, ensure you have an appropriate child passport. If your child is not yet 4 years old or does not have a valid passport yet, you will need to apply for a provisional birth certificate abroad with the Swiss Foreign Ministry. Once you receive this certificate, please bring it with you when applying for your child's passport at any Swiss embassy or consulate.
For all adults, the cost of Switzerland visa is USD 84.
For all children, the cost of Switzerland visa is USD 42.
