Tanzania Visa Documents

  • Application form properly filled out
  • two (2) recent photos the size of a passport
  • a duplicate of the flight confirmation or return ticket
  • company, institution, or a letter of invitation from the Tanzanian equivalent
  • evidence of yellow fever immunisation (if applicable)
  • If the applicant is a juvenile (under the age of 18), proof of parental consent or legal guardianship is necessary for the minor's travel authorization.
  • paying the application fee required by law Tanzanian entry requires a visa for Indian nationals. The Tanzania High Commission in New Delhi is open for visa applications Monday through Friday, 10:00 to 12:00, and for visa collection Monday through Friday, 15:30 to 16:30, with the exception of Indian and Tanzanian national holidays. If you are applying for a Tanzania visa as an Indian tourist, you can get your visa before departing (eVisa or from the Tanzania High Commission in New Delhi). The processing of visas takes a day. Here is some extra information that is pertinent to all applicants if you wish to apply for a visa online to visit the United Republic of Tanzania:
  • Your passport needs to be valid for at least six months after the day you want to enter Tanzania.
  • Every traveller must have their own permission (including children)
  • An electronic visa for Tanzania is not a work permit or a business visa.
  • With an electronic permission, you cannot stay in Tanzania longer.
  • Correctly completing the application form can prevent delays or problems with the visa approval.
