An individual must have a visa in order to enter and reside in the United Republic of Tanzania for a predetermined amount of time. A visa is given to a tourist intending to enter Tanzania for the purposes of visiting, travelling, relaxing, taking a holiday, doing business, receiving medical treatment, attending a conference, or engaging in any other connected activity approved by local law. SINGLE Entrance VISA (ORDINARY VISA): This visa is provided for a single entry to a tourist for a duration not to exceed three months for the purpose of travel, business, pleasure, study, medical treatment, or any other activity specifically permitted by law.
